Teclite Trousers

Lightweight, cold weather trousers for the serious outdoor user.

The performance is exceptional when compared to their light weight and very low bulk. They pack down easily into small corners of a rucsac. The one piece leg construction eliminates moisture penetration through side seams, and the cut allows for unrestricted movement. Ideal for high level hill walking and various activities on cold wet winter days.

Bought these for winter pike fishing to wear under my waders, waders slip on very easily and they keep me adequately warm.

I also wear then underneath my Buffalo Teclite sallopettes, very good combination and knees don’t get wet when kneeling down to unhook a Pike A1.

walked up pen-y-ghent yesterday in abysmal weather. 0 Celsius, 50 mph winds and lashing down with hail and rain. These trousers shrugged it all of and kept my legs dry and more importantly warm.
My only two criticisms are 1) it would be nice if they had mid calf length zips so i could fit them over my shoes when winter fell running or summer walking. They would make them perfect in my opinion. 2) They are a bit baggy and flappy around the lower leg in the wind which is a bit annoying and can cause water to not be wicked away as effectively.
Apart from these minor gripes i absolutely love them and will always be on my legs in winter.

Excellent. I’ve used these on a recent winter hill walk and they kept me warm and dry. They are a neat fit but I had no problems walking up steep ground. They have a small rear zipper pocket for very small, light items, eg a small wallet, and two front pockets which are really only for hands in my opinion, since any valuables will not remain inside the pockets for long on the hill. They are even resistant to barbed wire fences. Although I was trying to be careful, I still managed to contact a barb, but it actually scraped the material and did no real harm. I would have expected it to tear the fabric. Recommended.

These are brilliant trousers, wore these winter walking and climbing in Scotland and they performed brilliantly.

Phenomenal value for money and great performance!

I’ve just worn these trousers during my Coast to Coast walk across England. They are brilliant! They kept me warm and comfy in some really cold wet weather in the Lake District. I slept in them when it was cold at night. They are a brilliant product.

My one complaint! It’s next to impossible to put them on in a small two person tent! Trying to get your feet through the bottom of the legs when lay down without the lining coming through and twisting into a ball around your foot is beyond human capability, well this one anyway!

Bought these trousers in August eight months ago, had them shortened by Buffalo to fit my shorter legs. Initially I thought they were kind of okay but didn’t wear them much. However once the cold weather kicked in I started to want to wear them more and, much to my surprise, loved how light and comfy they are, as initially I felt they were a bit tight round the bum. Now, I’ve virtually been wearing them every day everywhere as they feel so good and mega light in the cold bad weather. Also great lounging in the house with them on.

I’m not usually one for writing reviews unless something is annoyingly bad or really good. So I’m actually taking the time to write this to say – absolutely brilliant trousers, (Mucho) impressive.

Bought a pair back in 2015 and then another pair off eBay. Used for winter walking, skiing and more recently canoeing. Light and flexible for the warmth and dry very quickly.
Apart from the tendency to grab when putting on my major gripe is the pockets. With no fastening on the front pockets you can’t rely on them and they billow out and snag on things. Please save some money by doing away with the back pocket and put a couple of zips on the front pockets, you’d then have some really good troos.
