Pertex 6 Shell with 'AquaTherm Extreme' pile lining . On its own this is an efficient 2/3 season bag usable from April to September.
Designed specifically for ocean racing yachts, this bag has a full length, opening zip and zipped foot piece it opens out fully to allow drying, can also be used as a blanket for milder conditions.
AquaTherm Extreme pile has the properties of being a highly effect insulator when both wet and dry meaning you can get into it wet and it will not damage or affect the insulating properties of the bag. It is also extremely fast at drying out, either by being hung up to dry, or just using your own body heat when asleep or resting.
All the materials used are extremely durable, so can handle being roughly treated, and stored away compressed for extended periods.
Versions of this bag using the exact same materials have been used from Mountain Rescue Teams and Round the World Yacht Races including the BT Global Change Teams and of the Rothman's Round the World Challenge from a few years ago including the Southern Atlantic.
